What is a disc jockey?:
Also called DJ or deejay, these are people who play music for the enjoyment of the listening public.
What does a disc jockey do?:
The role of the disc jockey is to play music geared towards a specific audience; whether it be for those who love classical music, pop, rnb, country, folk, rock, disco, etc. DJ’s also choose songs that will fit a certain occasion; whether it be for a wedding, birthday, award ceremony and other social gatherings.
Where do disc jockey’s work?:
DJ’s work in radio stations where they are expected to create a daily play list. Aside from spinning records, they may also add segments to the program where they interact with listeners. (more…)

A disc jockey acts as the master of ceremonies at social events. Disc jockeys play the music, break the ice so guests dance and have a good time, and keep the party flowing. They work mostly on weekends, focusing on weddings, bar mitzvahs and birthdays. milfs

IN SAN FRANCISCO, any gathering after 2 a.m. requires a permit if there is “live entertainment,” a category that is apparently broad enough to include spinning records. Now cops charged with breaking up these events have taken it upon themselves to expropriate laptops from renegade disc jockeys.
According to accounts from local DJs, one officer makes it a habit to take every laptop he can find when raiding parties, even computers not visibly being used to play music. Jennifer Granick, a lawyer with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, says this practice undermines the “evidence in a crime” excuse for seizing the computers, many of which belong to people not charged with any crimes.
